Woody is a 14.2 hand, 9-year-old pony of unknown breeding.
Woody was rescued from Cranberry Sales urgent list in March of 2016. He had been in the sale pen for 3 weeks. His description by Cranberry described him as halter-broke but difficult to handle. He was thin, with a cough, runny eyes, and very neglected feet. A wonderful woman in Connecticut offered to bail him out and pay for shipping and quarantine. She has even continued to pay for his hoof supplement. After an uneventful quarantine period, Woody arrived at APPER’s barn on March 13th.
WHERE HE IS NOW
It was clear as soon as he arrived that Woody was not hard to handle. He was scared, not difficult. He has gained weight and is a solid, stocky pony. He is a spunky, fun-loving pony who loves to rough house with his friends. He is polite for the farrier, and loves attention and treats. Woody has been backed, and will walk/trot under saddle with an experienced rider. Woody is confident and learns very quickly and we are confident he will make someone an excellent riding partner.
